A favorite transition out of tree on the reformer is to swing the leg back and do some split stretches. Not sure if it's classical but my Romana-trained teacher taught it to me. While flexibility is usually deemed as positive physical attribute enjoyed by a lucky few, it can actually be a root cause of chronic pain and postural issues. Being hypermobile ( greater-than-normal range of joint movement) is all fun and cool until you suffer with joint pains, subluxations, clicky joints, damaged ligaments, arthritis etc. etc. Pilates builds stabilisation by strengthening core and muscles around the joints thus decreasing not only joint wear and tear, but also your risk for joint displacement and spine injuries. 🌍🌎🌏 I'm so honored and super excited to see people from all over the World trying out my version of the #WundaChairPushups 🤗 Personally I love it when I see an exercise post that makes me want to go and try it asap! 💕 These work great for anyone having trouble with bodyweight #PilatesPushups in order to get stronger and learn the movement 💪 Here's a quick video on how to set up right in order to get the most out of them for your #triceps and #core 😃 👉Start like an actual pushup: with your palms/pedal on the floor. 👉Engage #abs #glutes #innerthighs #feet 👉Slide down #shoulders . 👉Bend at the elbow to lift the pedal, keep elbows in. ☡Shoulders remain stable. 👉Try to keep the body still and push pedal to the floor. 👉When you're comfortable with that try taking out one leg for more #obliques work. 🌹 I'm adding these to #healingwithpilates week 37 *Weak Triceps*, these can work for anyone by playing around with the springs ☺ @zaynagold @functionfabulous 🌹 Give them a go and please tag me so I can see your beautiful work! 😍😚

👶🏻 The Baby Chair 👶🏻 It’s great for so many reasons but here are some of my #favoritethings about it: 🌻 It’s a great place to take clients when they are struggling to find the connection to their #lats 🌻 It’s a great place to learn -and for most women to do- Swakatee ( #gratz is heavier than others and therefore very challenging for most women’s #shoulders ) 🌻 It’s a great place to take #seniors 🌻 The fact that the back of the chair moves is an essential part to various #excercises to ensure the #powerhouse is doing the work. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• What are some of your favorite things about it? História que merece ser preservada e respeitada. O que me intriga, é o fato de muitas pessoas AINDA acharem que o método Pilates não foi utilizado para esse fim (de reabilitação), que o método é utilizado APENAS por indivíduos saudáveis..
