Practice makes perfect ✨ Sitted forward fold (Paschimottanasana) I can tell that my flexibility has increased!! I can touch my toes!! 😱 when I started I was super stiff and almost all of my body hurt when I did this pose. Now the only place that still hurts a bit is the back of my knees and back of the legs. STRETCHING YOUR PIRIFORMIS . Do you ever get that deep achy pain deep in the glute after sitting for a while?🙋🏻 Well if you aren't familiar with the piriformis muscle you will be soon 😁. So for today, @quaddoc and I are going to show you a fun little stretch that targets this muscle. . There are 3️⃣three parts to setting up this stretch: . 🍑Lay on your back and bring a knee up to your chest. 🍑Then externally rotate the leg or make a figure 4/pigeon pose with it. 🍑Then slowly bring that leg across your body towards the outside of the opposite hip. . We've shown this as a 🤾🏻‍♀️dynamic stretch that you can pulse in/out of, BUT you can hold it statically if you wish. Either way, the point is to progressively pull your leg across the body while maintaining the external rotation. . Oh my goodness, lunch was just fantastic and had a whopping 20 SP..
